Indiana Representative’s Brother Killed in Cameroon

Elkhart Representative Tim Wesco’s brother was shot to death in Cameroon, on Tuesday. Vice President Mike Pence and Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb issued statements expressing their condolences. Charles Truman Wesco was killed while on a missionary trip in northwestern Cameroon. The Cameroon Defense Minister said it was likely Wesco was killed in a crossfire between government forces and separatists. He …

City Council to Hear $10 Mil Parks Projects Proposal

The Bloomington Board of Park Commissioners yesterday authorized borrowing $10 million for proposed parks projects. The projects will be paid for by three separate bonds that collectively are known as the 2018 Parks Bicentennial Bond. Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s proposed $1 billion infrastructure plan did not seek input from the state’s legislature. According to the South Bend Journal Gazette, the Governor’s proposal to the Indiana Finance Authority largely bypassed legislators.
