This is the new WFHB hat available as a gift to our donors during the 2024 Spring Fund Drive starting Thursday, April 18th through Sunday, April 28th. Anyone donating $60+ or signing up to be a monthly donor for at least $5 can receive this hat as a gift! Just make your request on the donation form. If you are already a monthly donor, just up your current amount by $5 and you can get this hat as well (contact Brooke Turpin at [email protected]) to set up that change.
Support Youth Radio – Our Youth Radio program is the heart and future of WFHB. Now you can donate directly to helping this program continue and grow. Youth Radio needs funding for equipment, training, and personnel expenses. This is a free program for youth ages 13-20 in the Bloomington area and beyond, that helps youth gain measurable skills in engineering, podcasting, voicework, journalism, and more. Become a Monthly Sustainer – Monthly sustainers have the most impact on the station’s sustainability. Our sustaining donors are important to the health of our station and we are incredibly grateful to those who keep us going month to month! You can use a credit or debit card, or even link your bank account so you never have to update the expiration date!
Donate your car to WFHB – If you have a car, boat, truck or other vehicle that you no longer need, consider donating it to WFHB. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes and we will receive revenues from the sale of the vehicle. Cars don’t need to run or pass a smog test, and our representative will make arrangements to pick it up. Click HERE to start the process!

Giving to WFHB Through Your Estate Plan
Stock Gifts – By giving appreciated property like stocks or bonds, you can avoid paying capital gains taxes on the appreciation, receive a tax deduction for the full value of the gifts and support WFHB at a lower cost to you. Please check with your tax advisor to determine the full deductibility of your donation. When WFHB receives a stock gift, our policy is to sell the stock as soon as possible after the receipt of the gift.
If you wish to donate stock, please use the following procedure:
1) Notify your broker that you are making a charitable gift to Bloomington Community Radio Inc.
2) Instruct your broker to transfer the stock into WFHB’s account at Vanguard:

3) After you have completed the stock transfer, please contact Brooke Turpin at WFHB and let us know the arrangements that you have made. This is important because your broker may not include your name in the transfer and we may not know who the stock is from.
