Halloween Haunted Trail! Animal Care Campus, 791 S Fieldstone Blvd, Bloomington, IN

MCHA is hosting a family friendly, not-so-spooky  Halloween Haunted Trail!
We will have candy, dog treats, costumes, and a “spookily” decorated walk through one of our trails on our
Animal Care Campus at 791 S Fieldstone Blvd!
Our outdoor, socially distance event is a great alternative to trick-or-treating.
A $5 donation or a donation of pet supplies for our pantry is suggested per group. You are allowed, and encouraged,
to bring your dogs….in costume, of course!!
Masks will be required, and social distancing will be enforced. This is a no contact event.
We ask that you only bring dogs that have current rabies vaccine and are well behaved with others.

“On the Rise: Mental Health and Young Adults” – Wake Up! with United Way!, Bloomington, IN, IN

The presence of Indiana University, Ivy Tech Community College, and the promise of job opportunities in our community make it a destination for many young adults. Join us virtually to discuss how mental health is affecting this group of people, with a focus on the students who call our community home.

How does stress, anxiety, and depression impact their educations? How is this shaping the next generation of the workforce? What is our community doing to support students and other young adults struggling with these issues? Explore these questions with a panel moderated by Mark Fraley, associate director of the IU Political and Civil Engagement program, featuring representatives from Indiana University, Ivy Tech Community Colleges, and local mental health services.

Alongside friends, neighbors, nonprofits and community partners, learn more about issues that directly or indirectly affect everyone in our area. Attendees will have the opportunity to deepen their awareness about someone else’s reality while learning about the challenges, innovations, collaborations, resources available through area nonprofits, and how to get more involved in making a difference. Guests are invited to come with questions for the speakers or just listen and learn.

Wake Up! with United Way is co-hosted by United Way of Monroe County and Indiana University’s Political and Civic Engagement program, with support from presenting sponsors Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, and Bloomington Board of Realtors.

This is a free event, but please RSVP before the event via the Eventbrite link found at www.monroeunitedway.org/WakeUp.
