During this time of social distancing it is more important than ever to provide a musical format for people to keep singing, enriching the mind, body, and spirit. Our ZOOM SING FOR JOY! sessions are open to the public and ALL are welcome each Wednesday from 2:45 – 4:00pm. Backpacking Series: What’s in your pack?, Brown County Bikes, 185 South Jefferson Street Nashville, IN
In this workshop we will lay out the contents of a fully loaded backpack for the group to see & discuss, as well as construct a tent. We will then review participant’s packs and discuss group gear options such as water filters, stoves, cook kits, etc. Then we will check out the DNK Presents gear library & generate a list of gear needed by participants. After a break for lunch there will be an optional hike with our packs in Brown County together.
Workshop Schedule:
10 a.m. – 12 p.m., “What’s in your pack?” workshop
12 p.m., Lunch (bring your own or join us for lunch at a local restaurant in the town of Nashville, Indiana)
1 – 2 p.m., Hike in Brown County – exact trail TBA

Kite Flying Extravaganza!, Spring Mill State Park, 3333 State Road 60 E. Mitchell, IN
Celebrate Earth Day with us at Spring Mill State Park during the Kite Flying Extravaganza! Everyone is invited to bring their kites to the Sycamore Shelter House. There will be free kites, snacks and other goodies for children 12 and under. There will also be a Super Fun Prize Basket for one lucky kid!
Lawrence County Tourism is excited to provide free kites, snacks and other goodies to children 12 and under.
Children 12 & under will receive:
– 1 Free Kite
– 1 Free Snack Bag
– Extra surprise goodies
We ask that parents/caregivers sign up their children by calling our office at 800-798-0769. This will give us an estimate to how many kites & goodies we need! Walk-in visitors can participate while supplies last.
Spring Fling Craft and Vendor Market, Lawrence County 4-H Fairgrounds, 11265 US Highway 50 W, Bedford, IN
This year at the Spring Fling Craft and Vendor Market there will be many exciting vendors, a delicious BBQ lunch, music and live demonstrations!
Spanish-language food pantry, Trinity Episcopal Church, 111 S. Grant St., Bloomington, IN
Staple items such as rice, beans, corn flour, fruits, and vegetables will be available. As well as some ready to eat and canned food items.
Fourth Friday Village Art Walk, downtown Nashville, IN
Enjoy a Village Art Walk on the fourth Friday of April through October! Participating art galleries will stay open late for your viewing pleasure. You’ll even find refreshments, demonstrations, and live music at some of your stops! All activities are free. Art Walk brochures with maps are available at local galleries and the Visitor’s Center. All participating galleries are within a one block radius of each other for easy walking.
