Gun Reform Advocates Gather at Courthouse, Columbus, Nashville

Hundreds of protesters gathered in downtown Bloomington, Nashville, and Columbus today, to demand gun reform. The protesters were part of a national Wear Orange campaign, which is hosting demonstrations across the country this weekend. 46,000 Lose Power Across South Central Indiana

Residences and businesses across South Central Indiana lost power this afternoon. Duke Energy reported an estimated 46,000 customers affected by the outage- 15,000 of those in Monroe County, and another 6,000 across Lawrence and Bartholomew counties. Many traffic lights in downtown Bloomington are offline and downtown businesses were without power for four hours, including Bloomington City Hall. Power was out …

Lack of LGBT Protections Could Cost Indiana Amazon HQ

Indiana is at risk of losing its Amazon Headquarters bid, due to a lack of LGBTQ protections. In a letter to his fellow investors, Amazon shareholder William Smith advocated for the new headquarters (dubbed HQ2) to be built in a state with LGBTQ non-discrimination protections.
