A new report, by the Monroe County chapter of the NAACP and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington’s Racial Justice Task Force, found African-Americans in Monroe County are disproportionately affected by the Criminal Justice system. Indiana Midterms See Highest Voter Turnout in Over Two Decades

Over half of eligible voters cast ballots in November’s midterm election. Indiana had 51 percent average turnout across the state. This is the highest voter turnout for Indiana during a midterm election since 1994. Slightly over two million people voted out of the four and half million eligible voters. In the recent months, Bloomington has seen an influx of electric rental scooters, such as Bird and Lime. The topic of whether using these scooters while under the influence is strongly debated.
