Bloomington Parking Garage Projects Postponed

The Bloomington Redevelopment Commission is postponing approving a project agreement for two new downtown parking garages. The project review  is meant to memorialize the city’s commitment to additional sustainability and design features for each parking garage. Indiana Governor Criticized for Proposed Toll Road Expenditure

Lawmakers in Indianapolis criticized Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, yesterday. According to the Associated Press, legislators are up in arms over Holcomb’s proposed expenditure of a $1 billion renegotiated toll road lease. The Republican governor announced $1 billion dollars from leasing toll roads in September, which will increase toll fees for commercial truck drivers. Indianapolis Anti-Homelessness Ordinance Dies

The Indianapolis City-County Council let the “No sit/No Lie” ordinance die without a vote, yesterday. The vote was cancelled by the ordinances’ author, Republican Minority Leader Michael McQuillen. No other council-member objected to the cancellation.    The ordinance would have prohibited any person from sitting or lying on “any surface in ‘public right of way,’ between 6 a.m. and midnight.” …
