Monroe County Commissioners Make Herstory

Record numbers of women were elected to office in 2018. In Monroe County, Lee Jones, Julie Thomas, and Amanda Barge comprise the first all-women county government in Indiana. The Monroe County Board of Commissioners met for the first time in 2019, this morning. Thomas, who serves on WFHB’s Board of Directors, said the Commission will host a celebration next week.
