STDs on the Rise in Indiana

Studies from the Centers for Disease Control show that in Indiana, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Syphilis are of particular concern. Preliminary data for 2017 suggests an eleven percent increase in Chlamydia rates, a 25 percent increase in Gonorrhea rates, and a one percent increase in total Syphilis cases. City Council Considering Hospital Site Plans

The Bloomington City Council reviewed and voiced unanimous approval for a purchase agreement for the IU Hospital site on Second Street. The city’s corporation counsel, Phillipa Guthrie, said the city has already signed a letter of intent to buy the 24 acre site from IU Health for six and a half million dollars.
