100 Holes for the Homeless

Support Bloomington’s Winter Shelter program, which is hosted by Wheeler Mission–Bloomington, for those experiencing homelessness in Bloomington and South-Central Indiana.

Register as a golfer, caddie, or general supporter for 100 Holes for the Homeless, which will take place on Thursday, September 23 at The Golf Club of Eagle Pointe, located just south of Bloomington.

Golfers and Caddies will contact others to request donations that will all go to help care for the homeless in our community this winter.

Each $500 raised will provide one month of meals, lodging and other support for a guest staying at the Winter Shelter.

For more information or to register for 100 Holes for the Homeless, visit www.wheelermission.org/bloomington100holes or call/text 812.219.2939.

BE THE CHANGE WORKSHOP

“May everyone be happy, May everyone be free from misery, May no one ever be separated from their happiness, May everyone have equanimity, free from hatred and attachment.”

This brief Buddhist prayer is a profound meditation on the four immeasurables: pure love, joy, compassion, and equanimity. It is a direct and powerful method for authentic positive change.  This workshop will illuminate methods to gain access to changing our perspectives to generate more harmony and joy in our relationships and society. This can be practiced by anyone, regardless of background and belief.  Absolutely everyone is welcome; no previous meditation experience is needed. There will be 3 sessions. One from 10:00 – 11:00am,  11:15am – 12:00pm, and 12:15 – 1:00pm.
