WFHB’s First Transmitter Retired & Recycled

WFHB went on the air long ago with a two kilowatt transmitter. It served the station well for a number of years, but had been retired. Station Engineer Jeffrey “Sundog” Morris took it March 2nd, 2020 to be finally recycled. It sold for scrap for $26, a tiny fraction of its original cost. WFHB went on the air with this transmitter, as Sundog fired it up in the early 1990s on Radio Ridge, WFHB’s primary transmitter site.  – TH
