Nice weather coming up this week, Don went fishing on Lake Monroe catching 15 fish or so, crappie, sunfish, and bass, some tips on fishing Lake Monroe, the disappearance of squirrels locally this year, the bird count from the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology says that 1 in 4 birds have disappeared since 1970, Don talks about the disappearance of 3 billion birds less in America because of human interaction with the environment, Don has lost sight of chickadees, and though he still sees tufted titmice, glysophosphate and bees, 14% decrease in migration, blackbirds and their disappearance, the canary in the worldwide coalmine, back to the eco march in Bloomington, ‘We know birds are in decline, but this is really a sobering description of the decline’, caller talks about rainforest, replanting of palm trees for palm oil, ecology, and deforestation, next caller from San Francisco California mentions rainforests, planting trees, political insanity from the President of Brazil concerning the Amazon rainforest, he talks about organized crime being behind various tree issues concerning profit, Don mentions the corporate system of government, supreme court rulings and Ralph Nader, caller continues with the idea of an act of God clearing debts rather than reparations, which can be a solution with many sides to it.
