MCCSC Board Declines Use of Metal Detectors in Schools

The Monroe County Community School Corporation’s Board of Trustees declined to put metal detectors in schools, last night. The decision comes even after MCCSC Superintendent Judi DeMuth recommended the adoption of the metal-detecting wands, during last night’s meeting. Area Newspapers Cut Jobs

The Hoosier Times, a media group which owns several prominent publications in WFHB’s listening area, is cutting 17 jobs at local papers. The Herald-Times of Bloomington’s Managing Editor Bob Zaltsberg made the announcement, in today’s edition.
