While there are no statewide votes or elections taking place tomorrow, several municipal elections will determine party candidates for this November’s general election. Former US Senator Richard Lugar Dies at 87

Former United States Senator Richard Lugar died, over the weekend. Lugar, who was Indiana’s longest-running statesman, died on Sunday, at 87 years old. A former two-term mayor of Indianapolis, Lugar served as a U.S. Senator for Indiana, from 1977 to 2013. IU Commencement Next Weekend

Next weekend is commencement for Indiana University campuses. As WFHB’s Kade Young reports, over 21,000 graduates will receive degrees next weekend. Indiana University Bloomington’s undergraduate commencement happens next Saturday at 10 a.m., in Memorial Stadium. Scott Pruitt Joins Indiana Coal Lobby

Former Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt has been hired as an energy lobbyist, in Indiana. Pruitt resigned from the EPA in July, 2018, amid reported ethical violations and mismanagement of funds. Pruitt registered last week as a lobbyist, in Indiana. He was hired by Denver-based Hallador Energy Company which maintains substantial coal mining interests throughout Indiana. Hallador owns Sunrise …
