WonderLab Executive Director Karen Jepson-Innes

A part of the WonderLab experience since the mid-1990s, Karen Jepson-Innes now leads the science and natural history museum on West 4th Street. Jepson-Innes, a biologist, got together with other like-minded scientists who wanted to bring the wonders and joys of science to both children and adults alike. At first they traveled to schools and other locations, bringing exhibits and giving lectures. The WonderLab Museum of Science, Health and Technology opened in a physical space on a frigid February day in 1997 and attracted hundreds of visitors despite the freezing temperatures. WonderLab welcomed its one-millionth visitor in 2016.
