MCPL Board of Trustees
The Monroe County Public Library Board of Trustees met on November 15th. Director Grier Carson gave his monthly report.
Board Member Kari Esarey asked if they have seen an increase in the number of visitors at the Southwest Branch. Carson responded that they have not been able to comprehensively monitor this due to some technical issues with their R-F-I-D gates which should allow them to count visitors as they enter or exit through the gates.
Carson also gave an update on the 2024 benefits package, before the board took a final vote to approve them.
The board voted unanimously to approve the 2024 insurance benefits plan.
The board also heard a strategic plan update from Carson. First, he revisited the last 3 year strategic plan.
Carson shared some feedback they received from the public about their priorities for the library.
The next Monroe County Public Library Board of Trustees meeting will be held on December 13th.
