Bloomington Board of Public Works

On March 12th at the Bloomington Board of Public Works meeting, the board heard a contract with Fire Service, Inc. for the purchase of an aerial apparatus. Deputy Fire Chief Max Litwin explained the intended purpose of the contract.

Board President Kayla Cox Deckard walked through some background information on the agenda item.

The board approved the contract unanimously.

City Corporation Counsel Margie Rice asked the board to approve a contract with Action Target for $200,000 to update the police shooting range facility.

Cox Deckard asked if the money was in the 2024 budget. Rice explained that the money is in the budget and has been earmarked for this contract.

Cox Deckard clarified that they discussed the facility, and it is not involved in the Showers West police headquarter relocation debate.

The board voted to approve the contract by a unanimous vote. The next Bloomington Board of Public Works meeting will be held on March 26th.
