Welcome to Prescription for Healthcare, a podcast collaboration between the WFHB Local News and Medicare for All Indiana, broadcasted live the second Thursday of every month.

This month we interview Michael Lighty, the president of Healthy California, a statewide coalition of organizations and activists dedicated to establishing a single-payer, Medicare For All system in California.  Governor Newsome campaigned in support of a state-wide single payer system, but when a bill in the California legislature lost some support, it was withdrawn. We talk about how the work continues organizing for universal healthcare in California.
