Hosts Clarence Boone and William Hosea speak with State Representative Robin Shackleford, who is the current chair of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus (IBLC). An Indianapolis native, she has dedicated her life to the principles of servant leadership. She was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives in 2012. Shackleford represents the citizens of Indiana House District 98 and serves as ranking minority member of the Public Health Committee. She is also on the Financial Institutions, and Government and Regulatory Reform committees.

The Indiana Black Legislative Caucus is currently comprised of 11 members of the Indiana House of Representatives and four members of the Indiana State Senate. They work to develop policies and pass laws that will positively impact minority communities throughout the state. These ideas are constantly changing to reflect the needs of Indiana’s citizens and the communities in which they live.
