Host Clarence Boone spends the hour speaking with Bill and Glenda Breeden, along with Danielle Bruce about Sentences: From the Pen to the Page, a theater production about the effects of incarceration, life, and death sentences. This vignette style play has a cast of 8 performers who will be accompanied by live music. Sentences is directed by Danielle Bruce and has musical direction by Daniel Lodge-Rigal. It is adapted for stage by Gladys DeVane and Danielle Bruce. Bill, Glenda and Danielle also discuss with Clarence the general state of criminal justice in the United States and its high incarnation rates, particularly among African American males.

The performance is 85 minutes with no intermission. Its content is mature and is not recommended for children under 13.  All performances are at Rose Firebay. Tickets are $20.00 and are sold at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater Box Office. Performances are Friday, September 6 at 7:00 PM, and Saturday, September 7 at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. A talk-back session will follow the Friday performance and there will be a reception after the Saturday evening performance.
