In today’s edition of Bring It On! hosts Clarence Boone and William Hosea focus on analyzing the aftermath of the Chauvin guilty verdict. Prosecutors had said that Floyd was killed by former police officer Derek Chauvin’s knee on his neck for more than nine minutes. Chauvin’s defense attorney countered that Floyd died as a result of the drugs found in his system and underlying medical issues. The jury sided with the prosecutors and found Derek Chauvin guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. The jury’s deliberations took two days and totaled a little more than ten hours. A white police officer being found guilty of murder rarely happens.
