As a young child, Steve Scott became an aficionado of martial arts when Bruce Lee appeared on TV as The Green Hornet’s sidekick. His family travelled the world because his father was a US Marine Corps general, the experiences broadening his horizons. Later, when he served his own stint in the Marines, he viewed a variety of martial arts demonstrations in different countries. His corps mates called him Scottie Karate. He came to Bloomington as an adult and ran a martial arts center here for years. Now, he’s turning his attention to the stage. Alex Ashkin chats with Scott in Part 1 of a two-parter.
