Occupy Protester: Justinian Dispenza

Play

The local Occupy Bloomington movement began October 9th with the occupation of People’s Park in downtown Bloomington. The tents, their occupants and their related political and living activities at the park continued until early January when, by order of Bloomington Mayor Kruzan, local police expelled the occupiers and park’s board employees dismantled the occupation facilities. Justinian Dispenza was one of the original participants in the local Occupy movement. Shortly after the occupation in People’s park was dismantled, Dispenza hit the road visiting other Occupy groups across the country. He has returned for a brief visit to Bloomington and spoke with Correspondence David Murphy this afternoon in the WFHB studios about the Occupy Movement, what it has accomplished and where he thinks that it should go into the future, for this WFHB feature exclusive.
