The Monroe County Commissioners have approved the final draft of the 2018 Monroe County Master Thoroughfare Plan.

Public Works Director Lisa Ridge presented the planning document in the commissioners’ December 12 meeting.

Monroe County adopted its first Master Thoroughfare Plan in 1995. This latest version has already undergone several months of public input. But Ridge said the plan can still be revised after its finalized.

Ridge told Commissioner Amanda Barge the public’s response to the Master Thoroughfare Plan was largely positive.

The next meeting of the Monroe County Commissioners is scheduled for December 19th.
