Lotus Fest’s Tamara Loewenthal

Play
[Please Note: This recording contains two three-plus minute long spans of silence so we could live pitch for this year’s Fall Fund Drive.]

With the 30th annual Lotus World Music & Arts Festival coming up at the end of this month, we’ve reached back into our archive for our 2019 conversation with then-executive director, Tamara Loewenthal, to present a re-edited peek into the Bloomington institution. Loewenthal now serves as the Lotus Education and Arts Foundation’s artistic director. She has been involved with Lotus Fest from its earliest days. It’s an herculean task to wrangle acts from all around the globe to perform in multiple locations around Bloomington. A performer herself, she’s been intimately connected to every aspect of that effort.

Host Michael Glab chats with Bloomington’s most fascinating people.
