Over half of Indiana University fraternities will face a hard-alcohol ban by this time next year.
Yesterday, The North American Interfraternity Conference voted to ban hard alcohol at member fraternities, which have until September of 2019 to implement the ban. Unless distributed by a third party, like a caterer or vendor, the ban would apply to all Greek organizations in the Conference.
The Associated Press reports that the decision by The North American Interfraternity Conference comes after a series of alcohol related deaths at Penn State and Louisiana State University fraternities, last year.
