The final bill of the 2012 requiring Governor Mitch Daniels’ action was signed this afternoon. Daniels signed SEA 1into law – a bill worked on by Bedford State Senator Brent Steele. Daniels also signed seven bills into law yesterday, including several of his pet projects mentioned in the State of the State address in January. Daniels held a press conference in the morning touching on two of the bills, House Bill 1376 and Senate Bill 0293. In today’s Daily Local News Feature Daniels signs into law the bills, which address the allocation of excess state reserves and Phases out the inheritance tax over 9 years beginning in 2013, respectively.
