Indiana Republicans approved a plank, during their party convention last weekend in Evansville, which aims to make abortion a constitutional issue.  Indiana University’s Board of Trustees is meeting in Gary today and tomorrow.  The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is predicting high ozone levels across our listening area tomorrow.  A new bike sharing program is being launched by the City of Bloomington and Indiana University.  The city of Bloomington is testing a new pilot composting program to dispose of the organic waste.  City of Bloomington Utilities announced today that James Hall will be their new Assistant Director of Environmental Programs. The Monroe County School Corporation is seeking public input during a search for new educational materials for its students.  The City of Bloomington is getting jobs and increase property values from tax breaks it has given to encourage development.

FEATURE: The non-profit, non-partisan organization Hoosier Action is galvanizing community volunteers to get people to vote in this Fall’s midterm election, as part of a state-wide campaign it’s calling Project Midterm.
