Attorneys representing Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill are bringing a defamation lawsuit against Hill’s alleged sexual assault victims; Monroe County signs a memorandum of understanding with the City of Bloomington, outlining mutual commitments to the Monroe County Convention Center expansion; The Hoosier National Forest is adding over 100 acres to its protected land; A new property law allows Indiana landowners to mark their boundaries with purple spray paint; Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch is slated to attend the soft opening of Hard Truth Hills Distillery, in Brown County, tomorrow.

FEATURE
Brad Bumgardner is the Executive Director of the Indiana Audubon Society, with the mission to protect avian wildlife. Bumgardner tells WFHB News Director Wes Martin a key piece of that protection is the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, which the Department of the Interior overturned earlier this year. Bumgardner said the dismantling of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act is a major setback to providing punishment for industries that harm birds.
