Black Lives Matter activists are expected to disrupt Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton’s 3rd State of the City Address this evening, in protest of the Bloomington Police Department’s acquisition of an armored car; Political aspirants are vying for three seats on the Monroe County Council; The Indiana Office of the Secretary of State has updated their voter registration website, reportedly enabling voters to share their registration on social media, and improving election results reporting; The Bloomington City Council voiced support last night for a property tax increase to fund sidewalk repairs; The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department will be conducting a spring cleanup of Rose Hill and White Oak Cemeteries, beginning the week of March twelfth.
