Part one:
Host Clarence Boone speaks with Stafford C. Berry Jr. (Baba Stafford), an esteemed artist, educator, activist, and scholar of African-rooted dance, theater, and aesthetics nationally and internationally. His extensive career includes 12 years with Chuck Davis’ African American Dance Ensemble.

On this coming Saturday, November 9, 7:30 p.m., at the IU Auditorium, the African American Arts Institutes Potpourri of the Arts will feature performances by the African American Dance Company, African American Choral Ensemble, and IU Soul Revue with special host MC Bootsy Collins! Part two:
You’ll hear our October 26, 2015 interview with Leon Parker Taylor, son of Carrie Parker
Taylor, who was Indiana University’s first African American woman to matriculate to IU in 1898. Leon passed away on Friday, October 25th at the age of 103.

To honor his memory, we want to share this interview featuring Mr. Taylor and Dina Kellams, director of University Archives and associate librarian of the University Archives.
