We discuss a recent Facebook post from the Morals of America page, which is calling for any authorities “to ensure than no pedophilia activity and absolutely no harm will come to the children that unfortunately will be allowed” to attend a Virtual Drag Queen Storytime, an event that will be hosted by Spencer Pride in October. The Morals of America facebook page is a hub for anti-lgbtq+ sentiments based in Owen County. They might have had a hand in the 2019 decision by Owen County Commissioners to ban all events on the courthouse lawn and all Owen County property after they made a complaint about Spencer Pride promoting “lewd” behavior. We talked about it in an episode we dubbed The Year Without a Santa Claus.
