I-69 Completion Moved Back, Again

Play

The completion date for Interstate 69 has been pushed back due to recent rains.

Monroe County Public Works Director Lisa Ridge gave the news in this morning’s County Commissioners’ meeting. Ridge also reported work was steadily being completed on phase one of the Fullerton Pike project. The public can also expect work crews on exit ramps at I-69 and State Road 46, beginning mid-September.

Commissioners also approved a $3,300 supplement to the county’s contract with Butler, Fairman & Seufert, Inc. Ridge said the consultants have been helping the county update its master thoroughfare plan. The contract supplement will cover the costs of the consultants appearing at public meetings, to answer questions about the plan.

Monroe County’s original master thoroughfare plan was adopted in 1995, and has not been updated since 1997.
