WFIU and the Jazz Studies department of the IU Jacobs School of Music will host the 28th annual Jazz in July concert series with four free, family-friendly concerts in July. Tucker Brothers Quartet performs on July 26th.
The Tucker Brothers Group was founded by brothers Joel and Nick Tucker in 2015 with the mission of creating thoughtful and positive instrumental music. Their album Writing Prompts was created with the mission of paying homage to the past jazz musicians hailing from Indianapolis. The compositions included on this recording often hint at a sound from the past, yet fully embrace the jazz culture of present day.
All concerts take place at the Conrad Prebys Amphitheater. In case of rain, the backup locations are as follows for the respective dates: July 5, 12 – Cramer Marching Hundred Hall; July 19, 26 – Recital Hall.
