Designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue, it is an event in which difficult questions are expected, appreciated, and answered. Experiences are based around race, religion, sexual orientation, disability status, occupation, cultural background, age, gender orientation, ethnicity, social status, and/or lifestyle choices. Conversations take place in a safe and neutral space.

Titles of “Human Books” include Autism (ASD), Bipolar Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome, Homelessness, Addiction, Immigrant, Ex-Offender, Literacy, Pagan Witch, Amputee, African-American Woman, Ethnicity, and Sexual Identity.
