Volunteer Orientation

Join us to learn about MHC’s volunteer opportunities! The orientation includes the story of the Hub’s founding, some policies and procedures, and a tour of our facilities! Volunteers will be given a chance to sign up for a shift at the end of the orientation.

Hub Farm Stand

Stop by the Hub to purchase homegrown and handmade goods at affordable prices! This once a month market offers Hub community members a space to sell their handicrafts, produce, eggs, and more. Cash only and come hungry – we’ll have freshly made snacks!

Ben Harris Spring Chess Open

Bike Rodeo

The Bike Rodeo is a free, family-oriented event that both entertains and educates children on cycling safety and the importance of wearing bike helmets. Participants can bike through an obstacle course, get fitted for a helmet, and learn something new! Please bring your own bike. A few bikes will be available for use in the Rodeo.

Join us for a Total Open Mic of Poetry. Bring a poem or two that you wrote, or that someone else wrote. We’ll even provide some books of poetry you can look through and choose a poem to read! An All Things Poetry event.

Fitness with a Firefighter

Bloomington Parks and Recreation and the Bloomington Fire Department present Fitness with a Firefighter—a weekly workout. All fitness levels are welcome. Workouts vary, and usually combine cardiovascular and strength training exercises. Modifications are available if needed. Workouts are approximately 30-45 minutes. Registration is not required. Workouts take place rain or shine. Geared for ages 18 and up, but all are welcome with guardian approval. Look for our event on Facebook to stay up to date!
