We are excited and look forward to seeing makers from Bloomington (and the region) showing off at Makevention! In many ways, Bloomington, Indiana is the perfect community to showcase the makers movement. There is, of course, a large art community using digital fabrication, 3D printers, screen printing, laser cutters, CNCs, and loads of other innovative art techniques. There is also an interest in recycling and “upcycling” as Bloomingtonites have a drive to reduce waste and live intentionally. And being a college town, as a community we love to learn, explore, build, and make.
