We will be reading: Frida: A Biography of Frida Kahlo by Hayden Herrera.
This engrossing biography reveals a woman of extreme magnetism and originality. Raised during the Mexican Revolution; she suffered a devastating accident at age eighteen that left her crippled; she had a tempestuous marriage to muralist Diego Rivera and intermittent love affairs; was associated with the Communist Party and absorbed with Mexican folklore and culture.
