The film that kicked off Douglas Sirk and Rock Hudson’s nine-film partnership, Has Anybody Seen My Gal is a 1920s-set comedy that follows millionaire Samuel Fulton (Charles Coburn in all his twinkly-eyed glory) as he decides to leave his fortune to the unsuspecting family of the late Millicent Blaisdell, the only woman he ever loved. Hiding his true identity, Fulton rents a room from the Blaisdells to observe them and soon finds himself welcomed into the family. Once they receive their inheritance, though, the Blaisdells struggle with their new lives.
