Bicentennial Veterans Day 5K Run/Ruck
Presented by Bloomington Parks and Recreation and the Indiana National Guard
Sunday, November 11 at RCA Community Park, 1400 W. RCA Park Drive, Bloomington.
For ages 18 yrs. & up
Check-in Noon/5K Run 1 p.m./5K Ruck 2 p.m.
“Rucking” is a military-inspired workout, involving a fast-paced walk carrying a weighted pack. The Ruck challenge will be completed as a group, with obstacles and challenges placed throughout the trail. The ruck will be led by local members of various branches of the military.
The run and ruck are for adults ages 18 yrs. and up, but there are family-friendly games and entertainment at RCA Community Park throughout the event. Bloomington-area veterans services will be on site to connect with military members and their families.
The first 50 registered participants are guaranteed a race T-shirt. Water and snacks for all runners and ruckers are provided. The registration fee includes the 5K Run, the 5K Ruck, or both. Indicate the events you will participate in when registering.
Pre-register online at bloomington.in.gov/parks by Nov. 9. On-site registration is available with credit card only.
