An Evening with Valeria Luiselli

This event is a part of the IU Arts & Humanities Council’s 2019 Global Arts and Humanities Festival Mexico Remixed.

Born in Mexico City and raised in South Africa, Valeria Luiselli is the award-winning author of Faces in the Crowd, Sidewalks, and The Story of My Teeth. Her most recent nonfiction work, Tell Me How It Ends: An Essay in 40 Questions was described as “the First Must-Read Book of the Trump Era” by the Texas Observer and is based on 40 questions she posed to undocumented children facing deportation. She is currently an assistant professor of Romance Languages and Literatures at Hofstra University. Her new novel, Lost Children Archive, is available in February 2019.

This general admission event is free, but requires a ticket. Doors will open at 7pm. After her talk, Ms. Luiselli will be signing copies of her books, which will be available for purchase in the lobby.
