Anti Trafficking Law Passes

Senate Enrolled Act Four became law today, when Governor Mitch Daniels signed the Human Trafficking Bill passed unanimously in the Indiana General Assembly last week. At a press conference before he signed the bill, Daniels thanked those who pushed the bill through, especially in time to take effect before this weekend’s super bowl in Indianapolis.

The Indiana Secretary of State’s office announced today that the investment firm Morgan Stanley will pay $210,000 in fines to the state for overcharging the State Teachers Association, or ISTA, and investing its money improperly.
