The Do’s and Don’ts of Urban Chickens @ The Venue, 114 S Grant St, Bloomington @ The Venue
Nov 29 @ 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

On Tuesday, November 29th, beginning at 5:30p.m., The Venue will host a presentation by Julie James, informing you of what you can and cannot lawfully do, and practically what you should and should not do, in raising and keeping healthy chickens, within the city limits of Bloomington.
The City Counsel of Bloomington pasted an ordinance allowing people to keep chickens in Bloomington, but how many, what sex, under what physical restrictions, under whose oversight and subject to whose approval? After Julie James has answered these questions, she will tell us what kind of chickens, what kind of equipment, what kind of a physical lay out, and what care will allow our chickens to prosper. And what exactly does chicken prosperity look like, anyway? How many eggs how often, and a lot more. Julie is an expert, and her presentation will be interactive and fun. When it comes to chickens, it is prudent to look before you leap.
