On September 13, Building a Thriving Compassionate Community held a community conversation about Indiana’s high maternal mortality rate.

The United States has the highest maternal death rate in the developed world. Indiana is among five worst U.S. states, to be a mother. Panelists included psychiatrist Camila Arnaudo, nurse Kelly Norris, and maternity and child-health advocate Georg’ann Cattelona.

The community conversation was held at the Monroe County Public Library, in Bloomington, Indiana.
