Coach Berbary Comes to IU

Amy Berbary was named head coach of the women’s soccer program on Wednesday Feb 6 by Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass. Berbary is the third head coach in IU women’s soccer history. Her hometown is Alpharetta, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia and earned a degree in Health Promotion and Wellness Education in 2002. As a soccer player for the university, Berbary led her team in scoring and helped her team make it to the Sweet 16 in 1998 and the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in 2001. Sports reporter Jalisa Ransom spoke with Coach Berbary and discussed why Berbary left Auburn and the goals that she would like to achieve as a head coach here at IU.
