Local Red Cross employee Maria Carrasquillo talks about her experiences responding to disasters all over the world and right here in our own backyard. From housefires and floods here in the Midwest to arriving at Ground Zero after 9/11, Carrasquillo has seen things that make grown men cry. But it’s not all doom and gloom; Maria reflects on how helping others gives her a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
