Heavy Rainfall, Flooding Closes Brown County SP

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources announced Brown County State Park and parts of Hoosier National Forest are closed to the public, yesterday. According to the Department of Natural Resources, Brown County State Park faces a lack of usable water due to abnormally heavy rainfall over the weekend. 46,000 Lose Power Across South Central Indiana

Residences and businesses across South Central Indiana lost power this afternoon. Duke Energy reported an estimated 46,000 customers affected by the outage- 15,000 of those in Monroe County, and another 6,000 across Lawrence and Bartholomew counties. Many traffic lights in downtown Bloomington are offline and downtown businesses were without power for four hours, including Bloomington City Hall. Power was out …
