Polls closed at 6 p.m. last night for Indiana’s Primary Election, and most races were called by 8:20 p.m.; Every woman that ran in local elections in Monroe County won their race. Women were the big winners in yesterday’s Primary Election; Vice President Mike Pence’s older brother, Greg Pence also won last night;  Monroe County Elections Supervisor Karen Wheeler says yesterday’s primary went fairly smoothly throughout the 34 polling sites across the county.

FEATURE: Liz Watson beat out Dan Canon and Rob Chatlos to win yesterday’s Democratic nomination for Indiana’s 9th Congressional District. Watson, a Bloomington native tells WFHB News Director Wes Martin that she’s thankful to have won yesterday’s race, and she’s ready to get to work on November.
