Welcome to the Mother’s Day Edition of Hearabouts: Asian American Midwest Radio! Hearabouts is produced by WFHB and Indiana University’s Asian Culture Center. We ask critical questions about identity, culture, community and shared assumptions.

On today’s episode, Kimber Garland and Tara Kim share their experiences growing up as Asian Americans.

Later in the program, Host Keiko McCullough speaks with her mother about expectations, creativity, and their joint composition, “Blowtorch.”  This interview is, then, followed with a performance of “Blowtorch.”
