Welcome to Paisley’s Posh Nosh on WFHB’s Youth Radio! On this bi-weekly show, I pick and review snacks and drinks that have a special seasonal, holiday, or other theme to them. Not only are my finds fun, but they’re also all healthy. Being a student athlete the majority of my life, I know first hand the importance of fueling your body with the right foods and nutrients enabling you to perform and live at your best!

The theme of this episode is Back to School. One of the first things people usually associate with school is generally the apple. So, with this came the Apple Pie Chai Smoothie pick. This fall smoothie calls for only six simple ingredients and takes as little as 5-6 minutes to make.

When school is in session, extracurriculars, and assignments due, you need quick and easy meals that won’t weigh you down. So, I chose one of my personal favorites that checks all the boxes: the Prana Organic Chia Overnight Oats in the flavor Berry Fairy! All you do is pour milk or water into the mix and set in the fridge overnight. In the morning, TADA! Breakfast is made. I could go on forever about about all the health benefits both picks contain, but the most important ones are the high levels of vitamins, antioxidants, prebiotics, and probiotics that support immune, brain, digestive and other functions.
